Today, Economic and Trade Policy at the Embassy of Finland (Business Finland) in Tokyo, Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting Co.,Ltd., and Economic & Tourism Affairs Bureau of SapporoCity signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) .

Back in 2019, Sapporo City launched a project “Startup City Sapporo” to focus on providing startup support. It is critical for startups to go global and scale, and for Sapporo City & Hokkaido to facilitate this effort by collaborating with international startup support institutions and international governmental organizations.

With the support of Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting Co.,Ltd. having access to an extensive network in the Nordic region, this MoU seeks to further develop the startup community between Sapporo, Hokkaido & Finland.

For Sapporo City, this is the very first MoU to be executed with an international institution, and all parties will actively:
